Our Optometrists

Dr. Damaris Raymondi received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the SUNY College of Optometry and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Prior to that she graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. John's University with a B.S. degree in Biology. She has a focus on pediatrics and general ocular disease. She volunteers as an advisor to the non-profit organization Sights on Health. On social media she is @newyorkeyedoc and she hosts her very own podcast, Eyes Up, on which she interviews inspiring healthcare professionals with conversations meant to recharge her listeners before they start their workweek. She is fluent in Spanish, both her parents are Peruvian.

Dr. Hawasly began his practice of optometry in 2007 after receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree from the SUNY College of Optometry and a B.S. and an M.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The University of California. Dr. Hawasly has completed an internship in ocular disease at SUNY, as well as an internship in ocular disease at the VA at St. Albans. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the AOA Contact Lens and Cornea Section. Dr. Hawasly is licensed to treat ocular diseases in both New York State and California. He is also fluent in Arabic and French.
